Wolf hunting isn’t easy, even with the best outfitters.
Wolves are smart, wily critters and getting one is an accomplishment.
Wolf hunting outfitters usually offer three ways to hunt: calling, baiting and spot and stalk.
The most common way to wolf hunt is …well, not really hunt them, but rather keep a wolf tag in your pocket just in case when you’re out hunting moose, deer, or elk.
Wolves are tough to find. A lot of luck, stamina and patience is involved in hunting wolves. Are you ready?
There are three ways to hunt wolves:
- The first way is to keep a tag in your pocket because you never know when you might stumble into a pack of wolves.
- The second way to hunt if you’re interested in shooting a wolf is to wait for the wolf to come to you…. and the best way to do that is with predator calling, howling for wolves, or picking a good stand site and waiting.
- Method number three is possible the most reliable. In some places in Canada, wolves can be baited.
When it’s all said and done, wolf hunting is very, very difficult. Patience is key with wolf hunting.
