This hunt is a bargain! An elk hunt of this quality is hard to find at this price.
If you hunt early, there is a very good chance that the rut will still be on. It is typical for the guides to bring the bulls in with a bugle or cow call. The early hunt is by horseback, but there is some access on ATV

Guides are mostly Wyoming natives who have grown up hunting fishing and trapping western wyoming. They have a great hunting drive with an aim to make a memorable experience for all who hunt with us. They have years of time in our mountains and are all experenced horsmen.
Typical terrain is sage south slopes with timbered north slopes mostly rolling hills around 8500 ft in elevation. We do also hunt some big burn areas that have a lot of downed timber but the food source is awesome for the elk.
I would rate this hunt a 6 on a scale of 1-10 for difficulty as long as a person can sit on a horse we can get them to the elk.
We would like Hunters to arive around 4 pm the evening before their hunt begins so we will have time to check rifle zeros and get hunters fitted to a horse. Scabbards for rifles will be provided.
Airport pick up is avaliable from Jackson Hole Wy or Idaho falls Idaho for $150 round trip.
Guides pick up hunters at the lodge with horses and drive to a large variety of trail heads with travel times varying from 10 min to 45 minutes depending on hunt area. Then horses are ridden approx 1 to 1 1/2 hrs to get to hunt areas.
At end of day guides will drop off the hunters at the lodge where dinner will be served.
