Hey, I’m Marc Warnke
We have sent lots of hunters with this outfitter, and we continue to get great reviews. What is cool about mule deer hunting in Idaho with these guys is that you can choose a high-country, traditional horse camp, or you can hunt from the lodge down on the private ground.
If elk hunting is more what you’re looking for, these guys have a solid hunt that is one of my favorites.
Co-owner, Hunting Consultant
This is a great, traditional mule deer hunt.
Our mule deer hunting in Idaho will either be based out of a backcountry camp or our private land base camp. Hunters can expect to utilize horses and mules to travel the hills with final stalks accomplished on foot.
Mule deer occasionally wander into the bottoms; however, most of the mature bucks are found in the mountains at varying elevations and locations throughout the year.

Just a little more than an hour into the hunt, I took a great 32 1/2″ ram after a short stalk with little cover and a 325 yard shot. Hit well, the ram ran about 40 yards and went down. What a way to start the hunt!
I have always heard this is a shooters hunt, this couldn’t be more true. The shortest shooting distance on our hunt was 206 yards, with the longest being 440 yards. That being said, we did have some great opportunities that could have been successful with a bow.
