  • It is a fact that the wild bison have always existed in these ranges and man has never pushed them out of the area. This hunt is a good one for what it is. A tough, remote hunt where the bison have to step across a particular boundary to be huntable. They are unpredictable on how often they do… but it is what it is on this hunt.

“My long awaited trip to northern Alberta to hunt free range Bison was a resounding success.” -Paul Plantinga, Michigan, USA

Most of the hunting will be done on snowmobiles and quads. It is common to travel up to 80 km (50 miles) in a day. The snow is generally 1-3 feet deep. The hunt can be long and difficult but for the avid trophy hunter it is the thrill of a lifetime.

Your guides are committed to a policy of 100% “fair chase” and stress principles and ethics above all else.

Many of the bulls in this area are positively ancient, and trophy potential very high.

These buffalo are exportable to the United States.
These bison are not a pure “wood bison”, which allows your cape and horns to be exported to the United States. Although not pure wood strain, a bull may weigh up to 2600 lbs. and cow 1500 lbs. The rewards for the dedicated hunter can be great. Studies have shown that many of the bulls in this area are positively ancient, and trophy potential very high.

We recommend that you get a wolf tag on this hunt!
