Chamois hunting can take place year-round, but the most common hunting season is during the colder months so the capes are in premium condition. Chamois hunting usually takes place on foot and consists of a lot of glassing and a long stalk once a good buck is spotted. In New Zealand, it’s common to combo Chamois hunting with a Tahr.
