This hunt primarily takes place Sept 1-10, with a great opportunity to take a velvet mule deer. Early archery Wyoming Mule Deer hunting is primarily conducted via blinds on water holes and spot and stalk.
A typical day’s hunt starts out with a hearty home cooked meal then you will load up with your guide and head out to either your blind on a waterhole to sit for the day or to different locations to glass and spot & stalk. Generally you will hunt all day and then return to the bunkhouse for a great dinner. Overall this hunt is not very physical and is great for hunters of all abilities.
Opportunity rate on this Wyoming Archery Mule Deer hunt is near 90% with the average bucks harvested in the 135-150 range, with larger taken most every year.
Sitting waterholes at this time of the year, Pronghorn Antelope will be frequent visitors, so this is a great opportunity to add an archery antelope to your trip for an additional fee, which will also add an extra day to your hunt.
