Our operation is located on my families ranch that is situated in north Texas along the Red River. This area is well known for the abundance of trophies, not only whitetail deer, but also wild hogs and Rio Grande Turkey. Three years ago I decided to take advantage of the God-given natural resources and open one of our beautiful ranch houses up for business as a hunting lodge.” ~The Outfitter

Texas deer hunting

These spot and stalk wild hog hunts are guided 1 on 1 by one of our outfitter’s experienced guides. He’ll take you deep into the brush where the hogs bed and breed, into the area where they are most comfortable and relaxed. This allows you to get extremely close to large packs of wild boar, an exhilarating experience that you can’t find just anywhere! To preserve these hotspots and keep from running the hogs away, bowhunting is required. These unique hunts are $600 per day with a two day minimum.

The Red River is known for having extremely large numbers of feral hogs. High quality spot and stalk wild boar hunts are hard to come by and while most have a limit on how much you can shoot, your only limit on this hunt is how many arrows you bring and can re-use! We have a variety of stand types from box blinds, tree stands, pop up blinds and ghost blinds. There are over 20 feeders running on the ranch and many acres of wheat fields. Our guides are very knowledgable of where the hogs are most prevalent, and they will do everything they can to ensure you are successful.

Texas Hog HuntingHunting Season
While hogs may be hunted year-round, these special spot and stalk hunts are available from January 1st through March 31st.

Hunting Method
A typical day will start with breakfast at 5:00am, and generally leaving for field around 5:45am. Travel to hunting areas in UTV with your guide where you and he will move into the hog bedding areas on foot. You will return to lodge for lunch at noon then back to field around 2:30pm unless you’d prefer to through the middle of the day which can also be a good time to find wild hogs. Return to lodge after dark or after locating downed game. Within the 14,000 acres you have varied terrain to hunt on with no interruption from neighbors, public or BLM land. Hunting methods used are spot-and-stalk; hunting over feeders; or ground blinds over food plots. While rifles are welcome at the feeders, spot and stalk hunting is required to be done with archery equipment.

Success Rates and Trophy Quality
The ranch is under a state certified management program that produces large trophies. The success rate of hog hunters who choose to hunt from feeders is nearly 100%. As for the spot and stalk hunts, an experienced bow hunter can expect to have multiple opportunities and potentially empty their quiver.
