Winter, from April to September, is the dry season, and it is the best time for hunting cape buffalo in Mozambique.

Buffalo Hunting Method
You will hunt buffalo in varied terrain; grass & palm savannas, forest & swamp. You and your PH will spot and stalk on large herds of Buffalo in efforts to select the trophy of your dreams. There will be many opportunities as this free range area hold an estimated population of 20,000 Buffalo.

This area is also known for exceptional Sable, Nyala, Waterbuck and Warthog.

Climate and Weather in Mozambique
The climate in Mozambique ranges from tropical to subtropical and varies in the different regions of the country. The rainy season coincides with the heat and humidity of the hot months, between November–March. The average yearly temperature for Mozambique is 82 degrees Fahrenheit (28 degrees Celsius).

Winter, from April to September, is the dry season, and it is the best time to visit the country. The average temperature in the winter for the coastal areas does not fall below 57 degrees Fahrenheit (12 degrees Celsius).

*Mozambique does have Malaria areas. Consult your doctor prior to your hunt. Your PH carries a first aid kit, and medical services are available nearby.

Game Care
Your PH will have skinners available to care for all game that is taken on your hunt.

There are four main camps within the Mozambique buffalo hunting concessions. Two are permanent camps.
Hunting Camp

Mungari Camp
This is a typical East African styled tented camp with Bathrooms en-suite. There are seven tents accommodating two clients in each. The camp is set in the lush tropical sand forests which hold an abundance of bird life.

Ngazi Camp
This camp was used by the Portuguese hunters in the late 60’s. The camp is built out of brick and mortar and has four rooms with bathrooms en-suite.

The most popular areas for vacationing in Mozambique is the South Coast. Particularly Maputo, formerly known as Lourenco Marques, and the islands of Inhaca, Benquerra and Bazaruto.

This PH owns two beach front houses in the bazaruto Archipelago. Along with a deep sea boat they offer fishing, diving, snorkeling, and exploring in and around the Archipelago.
