Our clients have harvested 9 moose large enough to qualify for entry into Boone and Crockett, SCI, Pope and Young as well as the Maine Antler Skull and Trophy book in the past two seasons. The number of record book qualifying moose we have taken is testament to the quality of our staff and their dedication in providing an outdoor experience that will not be forgotten.
Moose are very vocal during the rut, and respond readily to calling; so it stands to reason that this is the preferred moose hunting method. The skill of the professional staff of guides and extensive pre season efforts can put rut crazed bulls right in our hunters’ laps, whether you are hunting with a rifle, muzzleloader, handgun or bowhunting. Some hunting areas will be from waterways and others will be accessed by vehicle and foot.
After all game preparation is completed any available guides assist other guides and their clients that have yet to be successful. To have a few different guides working together proves to be very valuable. Their staff boasts of the best moose guides in Maine and arguably among the best in the industry. All are proficient at calling and have many years of guiding experience and are willing to go the “extra mile” when needed.
We attribute the high success of this Maine moose hunting Outfitter to many factors. The first is pre-season scouting; they have multiple trophy bulls scouted for each client well before the season comes around. Another is teamwork; many clients harvest their moose on the first day or two.
After a day of traditional Maine moose hunting, put your feet up and relax in front of one of the river stone fireplaces just as the early sportsmen and women did a hundred years ago. Photos and trophies from days past adorn the walls and the striking stone fireplaces, decor rich in history provide the ambiance of turn of the century hunting excursions without sacrificing the modern-day luxuries you’d expect from a world-class lodge. The gorgeous 8,000 square foot, 10 bedroom 7 bathroom three story facility offers a welcome retreat after a long day’s hunt.
