Tahr Hunting

If there is any animal that can be truly awe inspiring, it is the Himalayan tahr. The tahr or Himalayan mountain goat lived exclusively in the central Southern Alps until being introduced to New Zealand between 1904 and 1909.

The pinnacle of tahr hunting for many hunters is the Capra World Slam, which requires 12 different species (subspecies) of goats, ibex (capra) and tahr.
