Arizona Strip hunt report from our Arizona mule deer Outfitter

With the mule deer bucks on the Arizona Strip (Unit 13B) now being in the full rut, we had some great deer activity with lots and lots of deer being seen on this hunt. We were being picky because there was plenty of time to hunt and knew it would only be a matter of time before a trophy mule deer would show up.

We passed up multiple bucks every day before we finally located the monster mule deer buck we had been waiting for. He was 3/4 of a mile away rutting his harem of does right at daylight and one look through the spotting scope was all it took. This was what we had been looking for.

The buck and his group of ladies began to feed through the sage in a direct path to the hill we were glassing from. All we needed to do was sit and wait and this awesome Arizona mule deer would come right to us like we were pulling him in on a string. At 300 yards, one perfectly placed shot and this magnificent mule deer was all ours.
