North Dakota upland game supervisor Stan Kohn provides his insights into this winter’s effects on upland game birds and particularly the ring-necked pheasant. Apparently, it hasn’t had much of an effect on wildlife so far. That’s good news.

That is good to hear the weather hasn’t been a problem for the pheasants in North Dakota. It has been my experience on our visits to sight them frequently along the rural blacktops. Gives you the itch to hunt. However, the farmers are posting their land to “No Hunting” or “No Trespassing”. I saw a lot of that too…
