“Don’t fall asleep, an antelope can come to water at any time during the day and it will happen fast” …Words of advice from my outfitter the morning on the first day of my first Nebraska Pronghorn antelope hunt.

Representing Hunters with Proven Hunting Outfitters

Daily recap of last week’s Idaho wolf hunt. Two hunters and two guides. Day one, turned out to be rainy in the morning but the afternoon provided for some good weather and allowed some good wolf hunting. Glassed two wolves running the ridge we were actually on late afternoon. Made a game plan and went [...]

While a lot of us were still recovering from the holiday hustle and bussel Cory Glauner, Marc Warnke and Trevor Brittingham of Outdoors International are in South Texas on a Whitetail Deer Hunt for some fun as well as testing their Kryptek Gear in some different country. The first morning proved to be a rather [...]
I’m writing this article with duty in mind to fellow hunters in telling them about which Outfitters to avoid when booking a hunt. Our story begins with a good relationship with Larry Bryant of Kamchatka Russia Fly Fishing. He was our “eyes on the ground” in Kyrgyzstan for our Ibex and Marco Polo hunts. We [...]

Here are two bucks taken in Nebraska during the archery pre rut deer hunting season this past week (11/8/2011) at our Red Cloud Ranch in south-central Nebraska. One was taken by the Outfitter with a compound bow spotting and stalking to 20 yards, and the other by our hunter Jim Sanchez from a ladder stand [...]

There isn’t much to say about these elk hunting photos other than WOW!!! Check out these incredible bulls that one of our Outfitters took during the 2011 Arizona elk hunting season. The pictures speak for themselves. What an incredible season. Here’s what he had to say: … the Good Lord has blessed us with some [...]

One of our clients just got an archery Oregon elk. His first bull ever. He and his father were hunting with one of our elk hunting Outfitters in Oregon. Congratulations John! It’s exciting this time of year when our clients and Outfitters are sending us their photos and stories. Keep ‘em coming guys! Here’s what [...]

“[...] my long awaited trip to northern Alberta to hunt free range Bison was a resounding success. After several days of scouting the Alberta bush, day 4 dawned with some fast action and a Bison double on the ground. During the hunt we also saw numerous Black Bear & Lynx, along with Wolf & Wolverine. [...]

One of our hunters just got back from another successful wilderness, horseback mountain lion hunt. Conditions were rough because there was no snow. They rode lots of miles on the horses, but never could cut a fresh track on the dry ground. They found a lot of kills, but they were mostly wolf kills. Wolves [...]

There is nothing like the first hard hunt of the season after the long winter months here in Idaho… the chance to get out, stretch your legs, and take in that mountain air. My opportunity came last month when co-worker, Marc Warnke, and I needed to visit one of our outfitters for some Idaho turkey [...]

Our Alaska Mountain Goat Hunting Outfitter sent us his year end Alaska Mountain Goat Hunt Report: Hi All, The Alaska goat hunting season is over and was 100% success. We had hunters from Italy, Hungary, and Norway. (By way of Texas) This year was very smooth and all of the goats were scouted and patterned [...]

Illinois whitetail hunt review of M&M Outfitters by Steve Lewellen There are weeks where everything in the woods seems to come to life. This happens twice a year, once with the first warm day of spring and the other the peak of the rut. Everything seemed to come together the week of Nov 15. Steve [...]

We have heard that the green score on this mountain lion, depending how much it shrinks could be the new #1 record Nevada mountain lion. This monster weighed 188 lbs.! Nevada has some incredible mountain lion hunting. It is kind of a sleeper, and the Outfitter that we use goes above and beyond to try [...]

Here is a report just in from one of our Outfitter Partners in Alaska. They’re Spring 2010 Alaska Brown Bear Hunting season was a complete success. By the way, we still have a few brown bear spots available for Spring 2011 and a few grizzly bear spots. If you’re interested, you better hurry because these [...]

Here is another great hunt review for our Kansas Whitetail Outfitter, Twin Lakes Trophy Hunting. If you’ve ever even thought about hunting in Kansas, this is the guy for you. John of Twin Lakes Trophy Hunting is a down to earth guy and a bowhunter’s hunter. The facilities are great and there are deer everywhere; [...]

Most hunters are well aware of the world class deer and elk hunting found in Arizona but very few hunters realize that Arizona is home to a great population of record book size black bear. Arizona black bears tend to run slightly smaller in body size than their northern counterparts but what they may lack [...]

Here is a hunt review for our Kansas Whitetail Outfitter, Twin Lakes Trophy Hunting: John of Twin Lakes Trophy Hunting in Kansas has some truly exceptional whitetail hunting areas, there is no doubt about that. But what impressed me as much as his world class habitat was his genuine down to earth attitude. From the [...]

Well I am back home after some incredible Tahr hunting in New Zealand. Certainly Tahr hunting is one of the toughest things you will ever do, but there is something about it that draws you in, and one thing is for sure; you will go back and do it again, as I will. I chose to hunt public land (Department of Conservation or DoC) as this is a much cheaper option than a private land hunt, albeit the tougher option… [Read the rest...]

by John Carlson It was already dark when my wife answered the satellite call, “Hello! Did you get one?” As I replied, “Yes! It’s a beautiful silvertip.” My voice cracked, my knees buckled, and tears filled my eyes. All of the emotions and fatigue hit at that moment. I really don’t remember much more of [...]

Last spring, one of our Outfitter Partners put trail cameras on their bear baits. They had six baits out and there were cameras on all six. It was kind of like Christmas every day because they would upload the new pictures every morning. It was a lot of fun watching the different bears. We tried [...]

Cody R. returned from fighting for us over-seas and got this humongous mountain lion while hunting with one of our outfitter partners. They weren’t able to get the cougar to a scale as they were in the back country, but estimated him close to 200 pounds. Amazingly, he had a small head and didn’t make [...]

by Marc Warnke As seen in the July/August 2007 issue of the Mule Deer Foundation Magazine I am a committed bowhunter and during last year’s Alberta moose hunt with my good friend Mike White, I saw some gagger muleys that I just couldn’t keep out of my mind. Mike owns Legend Outfitting and I’ve been [...]

by Tony Arpaia One again I found myself in Alaska hunting with Outdoors International Approved Outfitter, Otto Kulm of PM Guide Service. Sitka Blacktail deer was the sought after main course species on this trip with an option of black bear and sea ducks available as desert. I have hunted with Otto in the past [...]

Saskatchewan Canada Black Bear Hunt » I just wanted to send you an e-mail thanking you for another successful Saskatchewan bear hunt. I am very pleased with the black bear I killed with you again this year. My buddy Cecil and I were extremely pleased when his bear skull measured large enough to be entered [...]

Marco Polo hunting is, to me the pinnacle of sheep hunting. This short Outfitter Report is from our Kyrgyzstan outfitter. He has had a very successful season so far for Ibex, Marco Polo sheep, and Russian Brown Bear hunts in Kamchatka. He also guides incredible fishing trips in Russia during the summer. Another one my [...]

Alaska brown bear hunting can be very dangerous. This hunt gets super dicey when the brown bear charges the hunter and his guide. “At 20-25 yards I could finally see the charging brown bear clearly, mouth open, teeth exposed,…. the Outfitter yelled, “Shooooootttt” and I shouldered my 7mag and pulled the trigger, “Crack” went the centerfire, I loaded again and pulled the trigger again, the 7 mag barked again and his forward progress was slowed quite a bit….” [Read the rest...]

Here’s a little note and some pictures from one of our Musky Guides in Northern Wisconsin: The big predator fish have been on the prowl and last year saw several nice fish come into our clutches. I’ll not candy coat it and say it was easy…lots of casting, lots of positive mental energy…did I say [...]

Very few hunting destinations can offer the quality mule deer, coues deer, and desert bighorn sheep hunting found in Old Mexico, specifically the state of Sonora. Many bucks and rams grow old and die here without ever having set eyes on a human being much less having a bullet fired at them. Opportunities for world [...]

The 2008 South Dakota pheasant season was an interesting one. Our Featured Outfitter recently sent us some of their pics from the season so far as well as some information. The report is that there are tons of birds, but conditions have been fairly tough. Most of the corn is still standing due to high [...]

Our Outfitter in Alberta guided his hunter Bill Killmer to this beautiful whitetail buck on his last day of his hunt, “it only takes a second to catch up!!”. The buck gross scored just at 170 with 5″ of extras and a huge 300 lbs body. Congratulations Bill! Learn more about this great whitetail hunt.

Well yesterday our Outfitter guided his hunter to a huge whitetail. Today it’s a big mule deer. Kenny Layman shot this big trophy Muley with a giant body, the buck gross scores 195 5/8 B&C. From our Alberta Outfitter: “Hello everybody, we had a great opening day, Mickey Layman shot a huge 195 1/2 B&C yesterday. The buck sports 2 non-typical points totalling 30 inches.” We still have two hunts available for this hunt. I can’t believe they’re not gone yet. If you’re interested, learn more about this awesome whitetail [...]

South Dakota is experiencing historically high pheasant numbers. Brood count surveys by the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department estimated that statewide, this year’s pheasant population was 23 percent higher than last year’s and 18 percent greater than the 2005 pheasant population, which was at a 40-year high. Nick Cochran, a conservation officer with [...]

We just recieved the following email from our Outfitter in South Dakota: The 2007 pheasant nesting season has been a tremendous success. Numerous large coveys of various sized young birds are noted and we anticipate further progression for a highly successful hunting season. We have spent most of the spring and summer on habitat – [...]

Pheasant Hunting A string of mild winters has helped ringnecked pheasants.Add in the Conservation Reserve Program, which has put about 3.3 million acres of nesting habitat on the states landscape, and you have the ingredients necessary to increase not only pheasant numbers, but also their range. However, things change and so does the states pheasant [...]

Idaho spring black bear hunting this past spring was quite an adventure. We had above average snow pack this winter and the creeks were raging. As you can see, it ended up getting us in some trouble. If you haven’t yet, watch the video above before you read further. Close call huh? Normally this stream [...]
