Utah Black Bear Hound Hunts
October 3, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
In Utah, a hunter must draw a tag to hunt, so the pressure is low and a trophy bear is a good possibility. If a hunter draws a tag, this Outfitter is very knowledgeable and is producing trophy bears state-wide. Bear hunting is done primarily with seasoned hounds, but they also do some spot and [...]
Bear Bait Pictures

A friend of mine sent me some pretty cool pictures from his bear bait in Idaho. He has had numerous bears into this bait since putting it out on 8/31. Currently there are four bears using the bait, a large chocolate-colored bear, a medium size black bear with a white blaze on his chest, [...]
Boone & Crockett New Brunswick Black Bear
Our New Brunswick outfitter had his first black bear hunt in his new hunting area (zone 10) this week. The hunter saw four bears on a three day hunt. He bagged a 405 lb. boar that will easily make both Pope and Young and Boone and Crockett with his Mathews bow and Muzzy broadhead. Amazingly, [...]
Astronaut Bear Dies On First Mission
August 5, 2008 by Cory Glauner · 1 Comment
Somewhere in Minnesota on July 21, this bear was spotted sporting a jar on his head. Now I know that bears are smart, but I didn’t know they were capable of aspiring to such heights as role-playing. This bruin obviously wanted to be an astronaut… now that’s a lofty goal.
Unfortunately though for the bear, [...]

Bear season started slow due to all of the snow this spring, but things are heating up now.
Father and Son, Jerry and Pete S. each shot bears on Saturday. Pete’s bear was so old he only had one tooth and it was hanging by a piece of skin. Skull size of these boars measured [...]
Crazy Bear Story

Sometime, around a campfire you’ll have to ask me to tell you the story about this bear. It’s quite a tale. I don’t think most people believe me but I don’t care, and hey, I had a witness. This is Mark Peirson with the bear.

Last spring, one of our Outfitter Partners put out trail cameras on their bear baits. They had six baits out and there were cameras on all six. It was kind of like Christmas every day because they would upload the new pictures every morning. It was a lot of fun watching the different bears.
We tried [...]
