Hunting Season
The California A-Zone Deer Season opens in July for archery hunts and rifle opener is in August running through the end of September. This is the earliest blacktail deer season opener in the state of California.
The B-Zone Deer Season archery opener is in mid-August and rifle opener is in mid-September running through October. There are special draw tags available and over the counter archery only tags that can provide extended season opportunities. There are many seasons throughout the state, please contact us and we can tailor a hunt to your needs.
Hunting Method
The State of California does not allow baiting, so the spot and stalk method is used. California blacktail deer hunting is typically in hot weather with temperatures between 80 and 100+ degree days. California has many different zones and seasons and a blacktail deer hunt may be tailored to a hunters needs. The Ranch
California blacktail deer hunting in northern California’s world famous wine country. This Outfitter offers approximately 7,500 acres of private land hunting in the California A and B zones. They take pride in their QDM programs and trophy class deer are frequently harvested. All hunts are 100% fair chase and with high success rates, however as in all hunting there is no guaranty of harvest.

The nearest airports are San Francisco and Santa Rosa and transportation from the outfitter can be arranged.
