Hunt Description

Several different hunting methods are offered: stalking, blind, during the day or night walking into the bush, (always with a guide) or walking with the guide using dogs.

Native Big Game:

  • Cougar (puma) - May 1 through Aug. 31
  • Brown brocket deer - April 1 through Aug. 31
  • Collared peccary - April 1 through Aug. 31
  • White lipped peccary - April 1 through Aug. 31
  • Multihorned sheep - year round
  • Capybara - year round
  • Wild goat - year round

Exotic Big Game:

  • Water buffalo - year round
  • European wild boar - year round

Gun Recommendations:

It is recommended you travel with your own gun. Bringing guns into Argentina is not difficult and all neccesary paperwork is provided on line. There is a $100 US fee per gun.

Firearms Entrance Form Instructions:

  • Go to: www.renar.gov.ar > English Language > Tourist Information > Technical Form
  • Print out and complete this form in our own handwriting (three copies are required)
  • Paperwork will be checked when you arrive and when you leave.

Airlines to Buenos Aires:

US airlines flying down to Buenos Aires are: American Airlines (via Dallas, New York and Miami), United Airlines (via Washington DC), Continental (via Newark, Houston), Delta (via Atlanta). Others: Aerolineas Argentinas (via Miami and New York), Lloys Aereo Boliviano (via Miami).

Weather:

Keep in mind that Argentina seasons are oppisite to those in the Northern Hemisphere. Santiago del Estero has a semi-arid climate, moderate in winter with temperatures averaging 70° Farenheit. However, on occasion it can be below freezing, so dress accordingly and be sure to bring a light raincoat in the event of rain.

This Hunt Includes

  • Guided hunting at a daily rate
  • Four nights in a 4-Star Hotel - Double occupancy. Single occupancy additional charge Carlos V Hotel
  • Guides will meet you at Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires and facilitate your transfer to Jorge Newberry Airport and assist you with boarding the last plane to Santiago del Estero (this final flight is 1.75 hrs)
  • Transportation to the hunting area in 4×4 vans or pickups
  • Typical country food (delicious Argentinaian beef)
  • Cold and hot drinks at all times (beer, wine, soda, mineral water, coffee and tea)
  • Assistance with obtaining your gun license: International Entrance and Exit Permit (cost not included).
  • $250/day US one-on-one guiding
  • $200/day US one-on-one guiding
