New Brunswick, Canada Black Bear Hunts

Hunt Description
Fully guided black bear hunts in New Brunswick, Canada. Located on the south branch of the Mirimachi River. Hunting will take place on farm land, clear-cuts and densely wooded areas. Hunting pressure is very low. There are never more than three hunters per guide.
You can choose to hunt from any of the three seasons: the spring season runs mid April - June; the fall archery season is most of September; and the regular fall season runs through October.
If you choose to hunt in the latter portion of October, you can turn it into a combo hunt for bears and whitetails. This is a very popular option for many of our hunters. The average buck for this area will score between 125″ and 140″ B&C. For more information on combo hunts, talk to your broker.
The lodge is approx. 6000 sq feet and has an indoor pool and sauna. It sits on sixty-five acres bordered by thousands of acres of crown (public) land. Food is home cooked with a full breakfast, bag lunch, and a full dinner. For dinner they will follow a menu i.e. steak, chicken etc. They are very flexible, and if a hunter has a special request they will work with you to satisfy likes and dislikes.
While you are at the lodge, feel free to fish for sea run trout, salmon, native brook trout & smallmouth bass. Most steams are clear flowing with gravel and rock base.
NEW! This outfitter just recently acquired an allotment of BLACK BEAR TAGS from the New Brunswick DNR for zone #10. This is a great trophy area with a VERY limited quantity of tags available. With thousands of acres to hunt, they hope for a high success rate on mature, trophy sized bears. Only six of these special tags are available!
Itinerary
Sunday: Arrive at the lodge. If you fly, you can choose from two airports in the area. The Fredrickton, New Brunswick Airport is fairly close to the lodge and the Outfitter will pick you up and give you a ride. You can also fly into Bangor, Maine which is a two-hour drive from the lodge. The Outfitter will drive down to pick you up, but there will be a small charge. Once you are settled in the lodge, you will drive around with the Outfitter and he will show you the area you will be hunting and where the stands are.
Monday - Friday: Bear hunting normally takes place in the evenings on stands over bait, so during the day you are free to explore the area, hang out or what we suggest you do is fish. The fishing is outstanding.

I’ve had many great hunting experiences at Carleton Adventure Lodge. The guiding is excellent. The guide works extremely hard for the hunter. I have taken bears and white-tailed deer on the property. I hope to hunt moose in the future. There are miles and miles of ATV trails–great fun! The lodge itself is well-maintained and the food is terrific. The owners do a good job of providing a family atmosphere. I’m looking forward to going back!
